SPOON SPORTS newly introduces Front Stiff Plates for the 11th generation Civic
Having a good chassis is essential to enjoy sports driving. A good chassis must be rigid but also light. High power engines, good suspensions and high spec tires are only half good if they’re not combined with a good chassis.
The stock chassis of the FL Civic is very well made with high rigidity resulting in its superb handling. However, when you raise the grip level of the tires and increase engine power, you begin to notice some delay in response and a slight decrease in stability.
After numerous testing and analyzing data, we found that reinforcing the connection between the front subframe and the chassis underneath the body, helped to stabilize the car for improved handling.
This Front Stiff Plate was developed for that purpose.
Our stiff plate reinforces the connection as plane, as opposed to points, maximizing the increased in rigidity. Use of high tensile strength steel allowed us to improve stiffness without adding excessive weight.
The chassis reinforcement achieved from the stiff plate will improve the overall handling of the FL Civic.
SPOON SPORTS introduces a new set of Engine and Transmission Mounts for the 11th generation CIVIC Type R (FL5). Stiffening the engine mount to improve throttle response is known to be effective.However, if the engine mount is too stiff, the vibration from the engine can enter the cabin, making your car uncomfortable. After accumulating data from our race car and from our street tests, SPOON SPORTS has successfully developed a set of engine and transmission mounts, improving throttle response without sacrificing comfort. ※ Mount rubber stiffness increased by 25% compared to stock

offer an ALUMINUM RADIATOR for the 11th generation Civic Type R (FL5).
For sports driving, bringing out the
maximum performance without excessively stressing your car is important.
Keeping your engine cool is one of, if not the most important factor.
The turbo charged K20C engine of the FL5 generates a lot of heat, rapidly increasing the temperature of your cooling system which can become a burden when lapping the track. Replacing the thermostat or lowering the temperature to trigger the cooling fan can help to slow the temperature rise, but ultimately, the radiator should be upgraded. The prototype radiator with a core thickness of 42mm was put to the test and confirmed at the Thunderhill 25 Hours Endurance Race. Afterwards, we further tested on our street car and found that because the AC condenser is located in front of the radiator, an improved cooling system was also critical for street use. That is why we decided to release this racing-spec radiator to enjoy the car on the street and on track without stress.
Both upper and lower tanks made from billet aluminum, core thickness 42mm. Use with THERMOSTAT 19301-FK8-000 recommended. Please cut the radiator hose by 10mm for installation.

CARBON for the 11th generation Civic Type R (FL5).
The Civic Type R (FL5) is known to lack cooling capacity when it comes to prolonged sports driving. In addition to our release of low-temp thermostats and increased capacity radiators, we have developed a bonnet duct with improved cooling capability. We’ve widened the louvered-opening to maximize the air duct surface. The front end of the duct is shaped like a fin pointing upward, creating an airflow to induce hot air from the engine bay to come out. The back end of the duct was extended into the engine room to allow hot air to come out more efficiently. Our new bonnet vent will allow you to enjoy sports driving with the assurance of a better cooling system.
Made from dry carbon. Installation with stock rain guard recommended to prevent rain water from entering the engine bay. In dry conditions, removing the rain guard will improve cooling performance.
