SPOON SPORTSでは新たに、11th CIVIC TYPE R(FL5)用 S-TAI BUMPER FRONT を発売いたします。

SPOON SPORTS has newly released the S-TAI FRONT BUMPER for the 11^th generation CIVIC TYPE R (FL5).

フロントダウンフォース性能および冷却性能の最大化を目的として開発されたエアロバンパーです。
カナード形状とフロア形状を綿密に解析することで、優れたダウンフォースを発生させつつドラッグの低減を図り、FF車両に求められる前軸荷重の確保と高速域での安定性向上を実現しました。
また、ラジエターやインタークーラーの冷却効率を高めるために開口部を最適化し、サーキット走行などの高負荷環境においても水温・油温の上昇を抑制できる設計にしました。

This product was meticulously developed to maximize downforce and cooling performance. The front canard and floor designs underwent rigorous analysis to create optimal downforce without introducing unwanted drag.
Given that front-engine, front-wheel-drive vehicles require sufficient weight distribution on the front axle, the newly designed bumper helps to secure this balance, achieving greater stability at high speeds.
To improve the cooling efficiency of the radiator and intercooler, the air duct on the bumper has been reconfigured, which helps to minimize water and oil temperature increases under demanding conditions such as track driving.

さらに、バンパー内部の左右スペースには追加オイルクーラーの装着を想定した専用冷却ダクトを組み込み、耐久レース車両やハードユーザーにも対応できる高い冷却性能を確保しています。
ブレーキ冷却においては、最大100φの大口径ブレーキダクトを装着可能とすることで、長時間の連続走行におけるブレーキフェードの抑制にも寄与します。

With our track driving customers in mind, we have also secured dedicated space on both sides of the inner bumper for the installation of additional oil coolers.
This available space is an ideal solution for endurance race participants and frequent track enthusiasts.
Furthermore, brake cooling efficiency was improved by installing a brake duct with a 100mm maximum diameter, effectively helping to prevent fading during continuous driving sessions.

開発にあたっては、スーパー耐久参戦車両のセットアップ経験を基に、まずフロントダウンフォース向上を主軸として試作とサーキットテストを重ね、その過程で得られたデータをもとにエンジンルーム全体の冷却性能改善も同時に進めました。
空力と冷却性能の両立を追求し、実戦で生まれたノウハウを反映させた、機能性重視のエアロバンパーでサーキット走行をお楽しみください。

The development of this product is founded on our extensive experience gained from setting up our race car for the Super Taikyu endurance race series. We initially focused on improving downforce, accumulating valuable data from numerous track testing sessions.
This data acquisition also allowed us to pursue improvements in the cooling efficiency of the engine bay.
This is truly a product born from our motorsport pedigree, achieving the highest levels of downforce and cooling performance.
